Jaran eblek is a traditional game from Java. To play this game, we need an instrument named jaran eblek. This instrument is made from woven bamboo and shaped like a horse and painted with various colors. That's why the game is called jaran eblek.

The game is more like playing dancing together with the instrument jaran eblek itself. Varied movements are accompanied by music.

This traditional game of jaran eblek today is formed as a show on the stage. People want to promote this traditional game to society from that show so that this traditional game is well known in society. It's also used to educate children to preserve Javanese culture through the game. Finally, jaran eblek show is also performed in children's shows in their school.

Ancient people also love to play jaran eblek. It is expensive for them to play jaran eblek using a horse that is made from woven bamboo. Hence, they use midrib bananas as replacements. The shape that midrib banana by their own way become jaran eblek that can be used for play.
